Following the successful launch of their new store at Derby Intu Centre, Fisch have worked closely with chocolate retailer Thorntons to further develop the concept into two new store openings for Autumn 2018. The fit-outs build off the Derby prototype, a café outlet with confectionery product to the front of the store integrated with a new servery for ‘naked’ product for individual product selection by customers.
The Dalton Park store has been fully refitted to the café concept whilst the re-fit at Nottingham’s Victoria Centre focusses solely on the confectionery retail format. Although challenged for space the new store features a full complement of bespoke counters and displays providing a full range of confectionery product including individual luxury chocolates displayed in a wrap- around delicatessen display, and counter space for gift wrapping and the preparation of an extended range of hot drinks, milk shakes, ice creams and a dramatic chocolate fountain.
Moveable island counters provide flexible space for in-store chocolate making demonstrations and product tasting. Despite the challenging footprint, the re-vamped store delivers action-packed retail theatre to optimise customer engagement and interaction to underpin the famous Thorntons brand without compromising customer flow for an exceptionally heavy footfall.
Working ever closely with the client team, we have meticulously pulled together both store planning and a full range of working drawings detailing every component of the concept culminating with computer generated images of the store including product placement to aid the successful merchandising.
Most recent store openings are: Liverpool One and Birmingham High Street.
