PRIVATE RESIDENCE
'THE CROFT'
DERBYSHIRE
Creating the clients’ dream home took an early unexpected twist when it was agreed to demolish the original house to maximise the full potential of the site with a new, no-compromise design.
Fast forward to Autumn 2018 and Fisch have successfully completed the architectural design and project management for this luxury private home. Fisch guided the client and project through every step of the process, gaining early Planning approval and navigating the complex process for demolition works on the edge of the Derwent Valley World Heritage site.

Restraint being the byword, the building envelope is finished in locally quarried Birchover stone with Staffordshire blue clay roof tiles. The wrap around rear elevations and dormers are clad in Siberian larch weatherboarding which will season silvery grey to blend into the woodland backdrop of the site. The premium specification extends to triple glazed windows and entrance screen, whilst the roof is punctuated by skylights which flood the interior with natural light.

Inside, every last detail and specification for the interiors was agreed with the client and suppliers to accomplish the firmly shared vision of a modern home.
