Working with the independent Central England Co-operative’s retail and property teams, Fisch have created a new store format for food retail. In depth research and a pilot scheme led us to develop a new store concept focusing on ‘hero’ categories of fresh and locally sourced products and key lines which underpin the values of the Co-operative movement.
Creating the new store environment right down to the point of sales display, the concept has been implemented in the supermarket and convenience formats using a well documented design guide produced by Fisch to ensure consistent interpretation across the store estate which has led to consolidation, and in many cases increases in market share.
Fisch additionally support the CEC team with surveys, working drawings and planning applications as new store openings and refurbishments continue to roll-out.
