Spring updates from Fisch Design
Updated: Jan 13, 2020
Spring has sprung, and the Peak District is looking lush and green once more - so we thought it was about time we filled you in on everything that's been going on here at Fisch Design. So far in 2019, we've been busy getting our teeth into plenty of new projects
Our New Live Casino Project
We can't reveal too much at the moment, but we're so excited about our current live casino project, we wanted to give you a sneak peek.
Our client wanted a high end feel to this casino studio set, intertwining dark sophisticated colours with sleek metallic finishes. Pre-determined set camera angles dictated our overall design, and we worked to ensure that we fulfilled every aspect of the client's brief.
In an increasingly technological world, we had to consider those customers who used the service on their mobile phones when building up a selection of 3D models and visualisations.
Once the project is complete, we'll reveal all over on our website - so keep an eye out for more details.
Rituals... bringing 'feel good' to the high street
We are proud to be working with Rituals and their preferred contractor - Blue Group Retail bringing brand new luxury body and home products to the high street.
Inspired by the wisdom and ancient traditions of Asian cultures, Rituals have created an extensive collection of luxurious yet affordable products for the home and body. Keep an eye out to see if a store is opening near you soon.
Combining rural life with sleek, contemporary design
The first quarter of 2019 has brought with it several brand new residential projects including 2 private self-build homes adding to our expanding portfolio of architectural projects.
Our first new build residential property is a stunning new retirement home, with incredible surrounding views. Our designs put an emphasis on ground floor living and take advantage of the views over the Amber Valley countryside, whilst featuring high quality materials, big light open spaces and plenty of room for family visitors.
Planning for this project is due to be decided on shortly and we are excited about moving it into the next stage.
Our second project enjoys views over Derbyshire’s beautiful Derwent Valley. The brief for a new family home on a challenging hillside site centres around open flexible living spaces.
We harnessed stunning natural light on the upper floor with glazing to the gable of the simple long-barn design, and a central glazed section of roof extending over the roof ridge.
The four-bedroom lower floor sits into the slope, fronted by an unbroken semi-dry stone wall, whilst the main entrance is concealed in a recess under the upper floor cantilever providing maximum privacy.
Fisch design sponsor century cycle ride
Our MD Steve and his buddies are currently in Majorca for a cycle training camp as they prepare for the closed road Tour of Cambridge 100 mile ride in June. The HOGs (Holloway Old Geezers) are in desperate need of some conditioning, and to celebrate this latest phenomenon Fisch have designed and sponsored a bespoke kit for the occasion.
The Sa Calobra climb is one of the main attractions for cyclist's visiting Majorca. It's not the longest or steepest climb by any means, but it's an iconic piece of tarmac that has earned the nickname 'The Serpent' for it's winding path of 26 hairpin bends. Heading down to the small fishing village at the bottom, there's only one way out and that's back the way you came - up the six mile meandering road to the 2,000 feet summit.
We will bring you some highly censored photos of the 'HOGs and Cogs' tour next time, as the intrepid riders test the very limits of lycra technology - but for now, here's a peek at the new kit.
Our latest Genting project
We're currently undertaking our latest project in Luton with Genting, adding yet another site to our growing portfolio.
The project is currently at handover stage - we'll share plenty of photographs as soon as it's complete.
Refreshing our knowledge
It's so important to constantly ensure we're fully knowledgeable on every aspect of our work. This month, the team at Fisch have spend some time with Darren Blackburn at Eurosafe, enhancing our knowledge on CDM and Asbestos awareness.
Eurosafe have been consulting with us to update all our policies and procedures so we can continue to ensure clients are aware of their health and safety obligations, and to help move forward to a safer built environment for clients and the public alike.
Asbestos is still the biggest occupational killer in the UK, and our training has helped us to identify potential hazards in future.
