It's been a busy autumn at fisch!

Updated: Jan 13, 2020

We have Moved!

Fisch have moved offices. We now reside at 1 Heritage Business Centre - next door but one to our previous office! The new office means we now have independence and more space to spread our fins, including a designated library and separate meeting rooms. Clients and guests are still very welcome to make use of our new facilities and call by for a catch up and coffee. The move went very smoothly under Dean’s guidance, although Steve got a little bit more involved as was strictly wise and suffered for a few days after from helping the removal team. Beats going to the gym!

UK Launch for UNTUCKit as they Begin ‘Worldwide Expansion’

We are extremely proud to have worked once again with Blue Group Retail assisting with the launch of American brand UNTUCKit’s first two UK stores - in Covent Garden and Westfield White City, London. The surge of smaller retail opportunities is bucking the trend of major retailer failures headlining the news on a regular basis.

First Time Buyers

Earlier this year Kate landed firmly on the property ladder after purchasing her first house with partner, Jay. They didn’t waste any time in surveying the house from top-to-bottom and both are very excited to get started turning their house into a home.

Jo & Michelle on the Road Jo and Michelle enjoyed a research trip to Birmingham’s NEC for UK Construction Week and Grand Designs 2019 where they were exposed to 35,000 industry professionals showcasing a multitude of innovative products and construction systems. Check out Jo’s blog if you haven’t already, to read up on what they got up to

Refurb & Refresh for London Casino

Over the past few weeks we have been pulling together a scheme in order to freshen up a casino in central London. With a call for emerald greens and gold accents throughout we can’t wait to see the final outcome…

Wedding Bells!

Our warmest congratulations go to Ethan and Aimee who tied the knot in September. The Fisch clan (past and present) were all lucky enough to join the happy couple and their families to celebrate the occasion with them at Wormhill in the Derbyshire Peaks with the chilly evening lit up with fireworks, love and laughter, dancing and a huge dollop of their warm hospitality. Mr Spivey, you’ve still got the moves!

Thorntons Open the Doors on Their Latest Refit

Thorntons Liverpool One looks great as it opens its doors ahead of Christmas. The store focusses on the ability to personalise gifts following Thorntons’ recent launch of the Chocolate Block Collection and we think the store looks great!

Mastering the Marathon Run

Hayley, Steve’s wife and Fisch’s best kept secret, ran the Chester Marathon on 6th October in a time of 3 hrs 24 minutes 53 seconds to register a 37th position in the Ladies’ placings, 9th in category, out of a field of 3,000 runners. The time and placing has qualified Hayley to represent the English Masters Marathon team for 2020 competitions. Not bad for a first ever marathon - but what makes it all the more remarkable is that Hayley only took up running 3-4 years ago!

Derby’s Knife Angel

For those of you that missed the touring Knife Angel – by sculptor Alfie Bradley – which was located in Derby’s Cathedral Quarter, here is a photograph we snapped of the towering 27ft tall sculpture back in October. The sculpture is made up of over 100,000 knives. Relatives of those killed by knife crime were invited to engrave the blades with names and messages for their loved ones as part of the sculpture. Rachel Webb, whose 22-year-old son, Tom, was killed in St Peter’s Street, Derby, after being stabbed by a 16-year-old in 2016, was instrumental in bringing the Angel to Derby. The sculpture is a poignant reminder that knife crime is so prevalent. The sculpture is currently situated in the City of Chester and is definitely worth a look.
